Sarah Pfeiffer - The EPL Dietitian

Hey there, I’m Sarah, the passionate founder of The EPL Dietitian 👋🏼💛

The EPL Dietitian is a private practice dietitian service currently based out of Ghetto Movement Gym and Recovery Centre in Fairy Meadow.

My goal at The EPL Dietitian is to help as many people as possible find freedom and fun in food.

With this mission at the core, I support a wide range of nutrition needs, but my main passion areas are gut health, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and helping people improve their relationship with food. In my practice I also support people with sports nutrition and the management of various chronic conditions (such as diabetes and heart disease).

So, what is the point of this blog?

Let me explain…

My passion for nutrition started when I realised how much confusing and conflicting information exists online and how overwhelming that can feel for people just trying to take care of their health.

It breaks my heart to see people struggling with their nutrition - whether that’s battling debilitating symptoms, navigating complicated relationships with food, or feeling confused about what to eat for specific health conditions.

I know that nutrition talk has gotten really loud, really confusing and full of misinformation. It can be so hard to find the truth.

So with my practice, as well as with this blog I hope to be a part of the truth sharing. I also know that as a health practitioner, understanding the evidence, the science and the truth is one thing, while being able to translate that knowledge so it’s accessible for everyone is another challenge entirely. So in a way, this blog serves you by delivering nutrition information in an easy format, but it’s also a way for me to practice and improve my skills at translating and making it easy to understand - a win-win, if you will.

While everyone’s nutrition needs are very individual and depend on so many different factors, hopefully you will find some useful information in the blog posts to come.

With that said, what you can expect on this blog is:

  • Evidence based nutrition advice

  • Gut health and IBS tips

  • Myth-busting of nutrition misinformation

  • Practical strategies to improve your nutrition

  • Answers to common nutrition questions.
